Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has promoted its Deputy Chief Executive, Bas Sadiq, to Chief Executive.
Bas Sadiq has also been appointed Place-based Leader for City & Hackney Health and Care Partnership.
Sadiq, who has been the Deputy Chief Executive at the Trust for the past 10 months, has replaced Louise Ashley who is retiring.
An experienced Director, with 20 years in the NHS, Sadiq started her career as an outpatient receptionist in 2004, taking her first management role in 2006.
Before joining Homerton, Sadiq was the Chief Improvement and Strategy Officer at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust.
Prior to that, Sadiq held senior operational roles in both acute and community trusts.

Bas Sadiq, said: “I am delighted to be taking on the CEO’s role at Homerton Healthcare and leading the development of partnerships and alliances in City & Hackney.
“Having grown up in Haringey and worked in every acute trust in north east London, my roots run deep in this part of the capital,” Sadiq added. “This connection has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the communities we serve."
