Team Build Group has secured a contract through NHS Property Services to deliver refurbishment works at Albert Road Surgery to upgrade the clinical, workshop, and staff areas.
The project will be carried out within a live healthcare environment and will focus on reconfiguring internal spaces to create new clinical rooms and expanded administrative areas.
Works will include the reconfiguration of the reception and front-of-house layout, alongside the creation of new clinical rooms and upgraded administrative spaces.
Internal modifications will also involve new walling, opening alterations and the installation of new doors to support the updated layout.
Electrical upgrades will be undertaken as part of the refurbishment, covering improvements to lighting, power and data infrastructure.
Ceiling modifications, localised floor repairs and the installation of new vinyl flooring will also be carried out.
Plumbing works will include the installation of integrated plumbing systems, as well as new wash hand basins and taps.
Additional improvements include the installation of new windows and rooflights to increase natural light within the building.
Decoration will be completed across the facility ahead of handover.
The scheme will also deliver upgrades to first-floor administrative areas, including new partitions, doors, skirting, lighting and low surface temperature radiators.
The refurbishment will be carefully planned to minimise disruption to services, and a completion date has not yet been confirmed.
