Progress is well underway at the £16m Integrated Care Centre in Trowbridge.
As well as replacing the town’s community hospital, the new Trowbridge Integrated Care Centre will provide local people with an additional primary care service, more same-day urgent care provision and space to support mobile diagnostic units.
The project is being developed by NHS Property Services, which is the developer for the facility.
Under discussion since 2021, the build was given the green light in November 2024, with spades in the ground that December.
It was then, in January 2025, that Tilbury Douglas was announced as the construction partner on the project, with One Creative Environments as the project architect.
The construction expert has stated that the facility is expected to open in early 2026, with Tilbury Douglas handing over the keys before the end of 2025.
