Breast cancer website launched by Royal Free Hampstead
LONDON'S Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust is one of only three hospitals in the country to have launched a new personalised web service for breast cancer patients. Mihealth is a one-stop-shop web portal which provides information and resources to support patients from initial tests and screening through to diagnosis, treatment and beyond. Mo Keshtgar, consultant oncological surgeon at the trust, said: "As doctors, I think we have a duty of care to make sure patients have access to high quality information which is easy to understand. This is exactly what Mihealth provides, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Patients can look at this information in their own time and make a note of any questions they might want to ask their doctor at their next appointment."
