Independent Clinical Archive, HealthStore, and Professional Services for Healthcare Data Management accepted onto procurement framework

BridgeHead Software has been accepted as a supplier on the latest version of the UK Government’s public-sector cloud procurement framework, G-Cloud 9.

The company’s Independent Clinical Archive (ICA), HealthStore, is listed under the ‘Cloud Software’ lot, while its Professional Services for Healthcare Data Management is categorised as ‘Cloud Support’ on the ‘Digital Marketplace’.

BridgeHead’s HealthStore, sometimes referred to as ‘a next-generation vendor neutral archive (VNA)’, offers a single, easily-accessible and standards-based repository for all healthcare data.

We have definitely seen an increase in cloud adoption within healthcare, especially for IT infrastructure

The software allows clinicians and other users to recall data from within the repository and present it at the point of care, whether through an EPR, viewer, portal or other relevant application.

In addition, the company’s robust and comprehensive disaster recovery platform allows healthcare organisations to safeguard their systems and data in the unfortunate event of a system failure, corruption, outage or more-serious event to ensure the vital continuation to hospital operations.

Operated by the Crown Commercial Service, G-Cloud 9 was officially launched on 22 May and is the latest iteration of the framework replacing services offered on G-Cloud 7 and 8 respectively.

The framework allows suppliers and contractors to bid for Government contracts for cloud-based services, without needing to participate in lengthy tenders or competitive procurements.

Recent reforms to the framework include a new three-lot structure – divided into cloud hosting, software and support – to allow suppliers to better define the services offered and help accelerate and simplify the process of cloud-based IT procurement.

Jim Beagle, president and chief executive of BridgeHead Software, said: “We are delighted to, once again, be accepted on the G-Cloud framework.

“G-Cloud 9 allows us to provide our healthcare customers with an easy, flexible, and turnkey solution to procuring BridgeHead’s cloud data management solutions.”

One of the concerns we hear from our customers is how they can move their applications and, more importantly, patient data, securely and safely into cloud environments

He added: “We have definitely seen an increase in cloud adoption within healthcare, especially for IT infrastructure.

“Yet, one of the concerns we hear from our customers is how they can move their applications and, more importantly, patient data, securely and safely into cloud environments.

“With over 20 years experience in helping customers to store, protect, and share their critical data; we feel we are perfectly placed to assist healthcare organisations with their pathway to the cloud.”
