BHC Furniture supplies range of seating and desks to Macmillan facility

Hotel-style furniture has been installed at the new purpose-built University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London.

Supplied by BHC Furniture, a range of ergonomically-designed seating, tables and desks is helping to bring a modern feel to the five-storey building.

Peter Bright, managing director of BHC, said: “The brief was to put a modern, and above all functional, product range together to support patients’ needs, but which was also in keeping with the design of the building.

“Working with Wayne Sexton, the main project lead at the hospital, we devised a corporate colour scheme that is unique to a project such as this - a blend of predominately graphite finishes for the wooden products with splashes of colour used in fabrics. The effect is spectacular and not expected in an environment such as this.”

The furniture selected was Aspen desks with option cable ports; Dash high-back task chairs; Maverick all-purpose, four-leg chairs, and Bisley pedestals.
