Charterpoint completes Braeburn Lodge for Barchester Healthcare

Developer, Charterpoint, has completed its latest care and nursing home project.

The company, which specialises in developing care homes, extra care and retirement communities, has handed over Braeburn Lodge at Market Deeping in Lincolnshire to Barchester Healthcare.

The 60-bed care home provides high-quality residential and nursing care, including support for those with dementia in its Memory Lane Community area. It also features a cinema and hairdressing salon, sensory room, and extensive gardens.

Director of Charterpoint, Giles Nursey, said: “We are very pleased to have handed over our latest scheme which will provide high-quality care in the Market Deeping and wider Peterborough area, including specialist care for people with dementia which will help them live more independently.

“As the UK’s ageing population grows, so too does the need for purpose-built, first-class care homes. This development is helping to satisfy the current under supply of this particular type of quality accommodation.”

The Braeburn Lodge scheme, funded by sector-specialist investor, Cinnamon Care Capital, is the latest handed over by Charterpoint, which works collaboratively with private-sector operators and not-for-profit providers to identify and acquire suitable development sites. The company specialises in designing and creating attractive, inspiring and sustainable schemes, managing the development, construction and fit-out.

Sue Scarlett, general manager at Braeburn Lodge, said: “This is an exceptional new care home located in a picturesque area, which offers nursing, residential and respite care as well as dementia care in our dedicated Memory Lane Community. The first residents to move in are already settling in well and are enjoying life at this stunning new home.”
