Planning permission granted for retirement village at historic Headley Court

Work set to begin on 112 apartments and community facilities at Grade II-listed mansion house

Audley Group has been granted planning permission for a new integrated retirement community at historic Headley Court site near Leatherhead in Surrey.

The retirement village will safeguard the future of the Grade II-listed historic mansion house and restore the extensive landscaped grounds, which will be made available for the local community to enjoy for the first time in the site’s history.

The village will include 112 apartments providing much-needed specialist care accommodation for the Mole Valley District.  

The project will also include the Audley Club, a health and wellbeing facility for those aged 55 and above, as well as a restaurant.

And the plan incorporates significant sustainable elements including the use of energy-efficient building materials and renewable energy sources as well as a significant biodiversity net gain within the restored gardens.
