Lowry Building and Civil Engineering has advanced construction of a new care facility that will replace the existing Lisnaskea Health Centre, Drumhaw Day Centre and leased facilities

Construction has progressed on the new £32.4m Lisnaskea Health and Care Centre in Northern Ireland.

The construction firm Lowry Building and Civil Engineering began work on the site in early 2025, and the project is slated for completion around February 2027.

Once completed, the project will feature a two-storey, 4,070 sqm facility that will house  GP services, trust community services, and older people’s day care services.

The services offered will include podiatry, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, mental health services and older people services, helping to meet the differing needs of patients attending Lisnaskea for care and treatment.

The centre will replace the existing Lisnaskea Health Centre, Drumhaw Day Centre, and leased facilities, providing a range of services from one location.

A sod-turning ceremony previously took place in January 2025, and Health Minister Mike Nesbitt recently visited the site to see how works were progressing.

“I am pleased to see the construction of this vital new health and care centre well underway,” said Minister Nesbitt.

“The construction of this significant capital build is making good progress and we anticipate that the works will be completed in early 2027… [The new centre] will improve the health and wellbeing of 30,000 service users in the East Fermanagh community, for generations to come.”
