Single Use Surgical, a UK manufacturer of specialist single-use suction devices, will also introduce an extension to its Sinus Suction range

Single Use Surgical, a UK manufacturer of specialist single-use suction devices, will showcase the ‘gold standard’ in single-use surgical suctions in hall 16 stand F42 at MEDICA 2016, which takes place in Duesseldorf from 14–17 November.

The company will also be introducing an extension to its Sinus Suction range. The new suction incorporates a gentle 60° bend for improved access during Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS).

Single Use Surgical offers a choice of disposable Sinus Suctions that are designed to suit each case. Their lightweight, ergonomic handles are available with or without a control hole, with a choice of tip styles and sizes including the new 60° bend. Each suction tip is atraumatic for patient safety, as well as curved for maximum visibility and improved reach in difficult-to-access areas.

Single Use Surgical was established in 2001 as a direct response to UK hospitals’ concerns over the cleaning practices involving fine lumen instruments, and the high risk of cross contamination between patients.

Unlike many other disposable instruments, Single Use Surgical manufactures its products with stainless steel tubes rather than aluminium. Its range spans into many specialities including ENT, head and neck, gynaecology, laparoscopy, general and vascular surgery.

'Many of our innovations provide improved ergonomics and functionality, as well as consistent quality and a safe alternative to reusable instruments,' said Export Manager Michael Denver. 'Each product is developed to ensure cost savings for hospitals, which means surgeons do not have to compromise on quality.'
