Four-year contract with HealthTrust Europe to supply medical, surgical, pharmacy and corporate support

UK-based IT firm, Viglen, a British IT company, has been chosen as an approved supplier on the new HealthTrust Europe IT Framework agreement for desktops and laptops.

HealthTrust Europe is a group purchasing organisation, working in both the public and private sectors and representing more than 30 NHS trusts across England.

It Europe simplifies the way customers award contracts in the category areas of medical, surgical, pharmacy and corporate.

Its framework agreements are a straightforward way of accessing a full catalogue of contracts, removing the need for customers to run their own complex and lengthy EU procurement processes and allowing them to concentrate on more project-specific details when choosing a supplier.

The IT framework agreement came into operation on 1 April and will run for four years.

Viglen was successful in its application for Lot 1 – standard desktops and small form factor desktops; and Lot 2 – standard laptops and lightweight laptops. In addition, both lots also cover supply, support, maintenance and delivery.

Commenting on Viglen’s inclusion in the framework, chief executive, Bordan Tkachuk, said: ‘We are delighted to have been chosen by HealthTrust Europe. It’s a real vote of confidence in our products and services. We believe in delivering best value for money, achieved through a combination of cost-effective pricing and a strong focus on service, delivery and ongoing support.

“Our track record in delivering long-run project support is clearly defined, and underlines our ability to work hand in hand with healthcare agencies at all levels to forge productive and enduring partnerships.“
