The new Ilford Medical Centre has opened in Ilford, located across two floors in the Ilford Exchange Shopping Centre.
Construction expert GRAHAM was the contractor for the £6m Health Care Centre.
Covering approximately 17,000 sqft, the bright and spacious centre accommodates the work of a health care centre; offering GP and NHS services, offices, breakout spaces, changing facilities and public toilets.
"Whilst the space intends to serve the practical function of a medical centre, the client requested the characteristics of a warm and welcoming space, with the addition of a yellow colour palette to encourage staff and patients to feel uplifted.
James Shannon, Interior Fit-Out Project Manager, said: “It has been a pleasure to work closely with Capital & Regional and the NELFT teams to deliver this successful innovative scheme."
Shannon added: "The project provided a few challenges, as we were working in a live shopping centre with up to fifty workers on site each day. Overall, the medical centre looks incredible, and the team should be very proud.”
