Kier has completed a major construction milestone at Haleon's new Global Oral Health Innovation Hub in Weybridge.
The milestone sees the installation of key plant equipment on the roof of the new facility.
The complex lifting operation, carried out last weekend, required detailed planning, specialist lifting expertise and close collaboration between project teams.
Completion of the lift signals the transition from the building's structural phase into fit-out and commissioning.
Kier is delivering the four-storey research facility, which will become Haleon's flagship Global Oral Health Innovation Hub focused on advancing oral health research and product development.
Once complete, the building will include digital laboratories, modern collaborative workspaces and a dedicated consumer research centre featuring an immersive digital room.
A new on-site car park also forms part of the development.
The rooftop plant installation represents one of the final major structural milestones for the project, bringing the facility a step closer to completion as construction progresses.
The Weybridge project follows a series of major healthcare developments for Kier.
At the end of last month, Kier secured a Hospital 2.0 Alliance contract under the government's New Hospital Programme, covering the planned redevelopments of Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
Earlier this year, the contractor began work on the £32m expansion of Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds, delivering new theatres, a ward and supporting clinical facilities.
