Technology will help health trusts digitise records and documentation


Brother UK has launched new single-function scanners that will help trusts to digitalise medical records, letters and other documents.

The range consists of high-speed, compact desktop scanners that are designed to turn hard-copy documents into searchable digital information.

The technology includes a unique feature that enables users to scan directly to a USB host and into Microsoft Office software where the documents can be edited. The ADS-2100’s TWAIN and ISIS scan drivers, which are available via free download, also enable integration into existing clinical systems.

Phil Jones, sales and marketing director at Brother UK, said, “Healthcare professionals need to be able to quickly process, interpret and act on incoming patient data. Digitalising medical records and correspondence boosts efficiency and gives healthcare professionals access to data wherever they are.”
